HUECHULAFQUEN BASIN LAKES - Lodging

Refugio del Pescador Resort is the oldest Lodge in Huechulafquen Lake.

It was bought by Horacio Baylac, a pioneer Patagonian angler in 1969, who transformed a mere hut into a comfortable lodge, famous for the quality of the food and the comradely that it fosters among anglers.

The rooms are small, but well furnished and tendered. Life within the lodge centres on its fireplace where anglers meet for free cocktails before dinner. El Refugio also boasts a 9-hole golf course, right at the foot of the Lanin Volcano.
