Patagonia is one
of the most fascinating tourist destination
spots in the planet. It encompasses the
Southern tips of two countries- Argentina
and Chile forming a vast triangle in the
Southern tip of South America.
The base of that triangle is about parallel
38º, and the tip is parallel 56º in remote
Ushuaia.
Climate, landscape and geography
vary a lot within Patagonia, a region
roughly the size of Mexico, or Great Britain
and France put together.
Fortunately only
about three million people live in
Patagonia, trout population being many times
that figure!
Not surprisingly, Patagonia consists of many
fascinating regions which offer anglers
unique experiences; from the mild climate
region of Junin de los Andes, San Martin de
los Andes, Pucon and Villarrica in Northern
Patagonia to the desolated, wind blown Rio
Grande in Tierra del Fuego, where trophy
size steal heads await the most courageous
anglers. |

From
internationally renowned Bariloche in
Argentina, to the untamed Chilean Fjord
Rivers in the Southern Pacific.
To access these
fly fishing domains, there are different
gateways both in Argentina and Chile with
commercial from Buenos Aires or Santiago de
Chile. Lan Argentina, Aerolineas Argentinas
and LAN Chile are the major carriers to your
final destinations.
Our home is
North West Patagonia in Argentina, probably
the largest fly fishing domain in Patagonia.
It includes Nahuel Huapi National Park and
Lanin National Park (both under Federal
Government administration) and the adjacent
territory of Neuquen Province. The towns of
Bariloche, Villa Angostura, San Martin de
los Andes, Junin de los Andes and Alumine
offer convenient access to countless lakes
and rivers.
When you come fly fishing to our Southern
Hemisphere, you will enjoy the advantage of
opposing seasons; so you can enjoy our balmy
Patagonian summer almost from the beginning
of our fly fishing season in November.
Please check our FAQ section for more
information on Patagonia climate and
weather.
