FLIES

We show you just a sample of the wide variety of flies that are used in our waters. Fly selection depends on the time of the year and the particular season conditions. It is also important whether you prefer to cast in still waters or in our Patagonian Rivers, and whether you prefer wet or dry fly fishing. Daylight conditions, weather conditions, and local guide experience also matter a lot.

However if you are an experienced angler, just trust your own instincts and you will do fine: you might want to bring your own flies, or tie them by yourself. Or perhaps you might rather relax and borrow from our guides what you strictly need on a particular day.

If you do enjoy fly-tying during your rest hours, you may want to bring along your fly tying gear. We will gladly supply any missing materials. Finally, if you have confidence in any particular fly you have tried in your area, it will probably work fine in Patagonia.
