BARILOCHE –
VILLA LA ANGOSTURA - Guides
Raul Cuello
Raul was born in the Rio Negro Valley, a
fruit producing region in Patagonia. After a
hint with apples and pears, he decided to
move West with the determination to make a
living out of his fly fishing passion. He
lived in Bariloche for a few years before
establishing himself in Villa Angostura, a
quaint mountain town strategically located
in the Northwest shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake.
From there, convenient access to both still
water and river fly fishing is ensured. |
|
Soon Raul became an accomplished angler, and
a registered fishing Guide both in the
National Park territory, as well as in the
adjacent Neuquen Province waters. He is very
well experienced in cruising and fishing the
remote corners of Nahuel Huapi Lake and
surrounding lakes such as Correntoso ,
Traful, Espejo and Falkner. Hector also
organizes fly fishing trips to Limay ,
Traful, Caleufu, Carrileufu and Filo Hua Hum
Rivers- both floating in grade one zones, as
well as wading.
Raul has earned a reputation not only as a
professional fly fishing guide, but also as
a catering expert; during his full day
outings his worldwide customers enjoy
specially prepared dishes including smoked
deer and salmon and well chosen Patagonian
wines.
Hector
Garaygorta
Hector was born and raised in Bariloche, the
traditional and best known international
tourist destination in Patagonia. Very soon
he developed a passion for sailing the
Nahuel Huapi waters, the largest and most
demanding lake in the region. For over
twenty years he has been a Professional Boat
Captain and owns a 30 foot cruiser fully
equipped to navigate the sometimes rough
waters of Nahuel Huapi. It comes without
saying that Hector knows each and every
corner of his favourite Lake.
Besides, Hector is an accomplished angler
and professional fishing guide. His fly
fishing outings have its hub in Bariloche,
and encompass Nahuel Huapi, Fonck, Roca and
Mascardi Lakes. When it comes to fly fishing
rivers, Hector organizes grade one fly
fishing rafting in Limay and wading other
neighbouring rivers such as Pichi Leufu.
Hector enjoys a well established and loyal
customer base with customers coming from
Europe, North America and South America.
